Guaranteed Pass Program
Our Guaranteed Pass program applies to all Commercial Building Envelope Leakage Tests. When an issue results in a score that does not meet the Minnesota Building Code, we use High Definition Enhanced Thermal Imaging to find the source of the air leakage and retest at no charge.
Our Guarantee To You.
When a building does not pass a Whole-Building Pressurization Test there is a reason. The reason is that the building envelope has one or more areas that are open to the outside. To put it simply, when the required vacuum is applied inside the building envelope air leaks into the structure and causes the building to fail the test. If a property does not pass testing we use high-definition thermal imaging to locate the leakage. We re-test at no additional fee.
We understand the new 2025 Commercial Building Code. Ask us to review your plans. We'll explain how the new code applies to your project's Functional Performance Testing requirements.

Blower Door Science
The Blower Door Test is based on science. The result of this scientific test is to quantify the amount of leakage in the building envelope.
This leakage becomes quantifiable when a known amount of vacuum is applied.

The system that comprises the Blower Door Testing System has three basic components. The first components are the Blower Door Fans. Each fan has air flow sensors that measure the airflow through each fan. This part of the system consists of multiple fans configured in one or more of the building entrances. The second components are the Instrumentation Gauges. The gauges receive the air flow sensor data from the fans and process the data. The digitised data from all fans is transmitted by Wi-Fi to one laptop. Specialised software establishes over 40 data sets for each Fan/Gauge unit and compiles the data into a single composite report.
The Blower Door Fan is located in the lower part of the Blower Door Frame. The Blower Door Fan creates the vacuum under which the Blower Door Test is performed. Inside of the Blower Door Fan there are an array of sensors. These measure the air velocity and the volume of the air which passes through the Blower Door Fan. These measurements are sent to the Blower Door Gauge. The gauge then processes the measurement data obtained from the fan sensors. It is in this way that an accurate and quantifiable measurement of a home's leakage can be determined.
